Charade , starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Absolutely fabulous. If I could find a hollywood screenwriter's convention and lock them in a room I'd put this on and play it over and over until they got it. Brilliant. Movies with people capable of acting, talking and generally behaving like people you'd like to know, are too few and far between and I haven't seen dialog this witty for a long time and it saddens me that with all of the improvements in early childhood nutrition we have generally reverted to movies scripts suitable for 3rd grade reading levels.
I can be no more clear than to say that I'd probably even watch a Hugh Grant movie if it had a script like this.
